Humm..good challenge here.
Just one idea. (and this is an excellent issue to post on the
XA/Enterprise Integrator users group forum on www.xaeigroup.com - a lot of
developers will see it on there). Could your program update a user
field/flag on the Customer Order? And then put a color scheme over this or
an icon over the field? (like a flag). so when the program is done the
record (in your case the order) shows up in a different color or a column
has an icon appear that shows the program has processed the order. I
presume this impacts just one order (ie vs a host job/report that would
run over a group of subsetted orders?). Or maybe it runs against the
entire order database (??)
If your program updates maintenance history in any way you could possibly
use Publish/Subscribe to e-mail?
A logical transaction would give you theh ability to display a
confirmation screen and things..but not sure about how this would work
with a submitted program. I am assuming in your case the program is
submitted and then runs for a while.
Anyway, see if anyone has other ideas.. I do know Rel 7.8 has some way to
put alert messages to users out there but not sure how they would be
triggered (where a message just gets sent to a user and pops up).

[MAPICS-L] RPG message to Powerlink
All:
I need to have my RPG program display a message to the
Powerlink user. I set up an 'Action' on the Customer Order object
through Integrator to call a host RPG program that sets some dates that
I pass to the program. I want to display a message to the Powerlink
(Mapics R7) user telling them the program has run successfully. I am
stuck on how to get this done. Has anyone else tried this?
