Lloyd,
If the suggestion about using a calendar file is workable for you, then it would be a really simply matter to define a macro in IWP to return the number of working days given in any period given the 2 delimiting dates.
This macro could either be a FUNCTION macro (available for using within a Jacana calculation), or a DERIVED macro available for use on a derived field.
Your decision here would be based on your view as to the opportunity to make use of such a derived value in multiple areas of your data base.
If the calendar file option is not open to you, counting week-days (i.e. days excluding Saturdays and Sundays) is still possible in an IWP FUNCTION or DERIVED macro - just takes a bit more code.
If you want to know more, please feel free to contact me off-line.

Subject: [MAPICS-L] Any thoughts?
I have created a IWP report that looks at early, late , and on time shipments based on promised date and shipped date. Any ideas how to figure and exclude weekends as days late in the calculations?
