Sounds like reasonable advice Josh. It also sounds similiar to an issue I
had once and involves a resync. The following is right from Infor but as
Josh suggested would highly recommend call to Infor before proceeding.
Goal Make new integrator business objects available after installing
new client applications
Fact XAR7
Fact Integrator
Fact Power-Link
Fix
Before using the synchronize function, do an "(all records)" integrator
export and keep a copy of the integrat.exp file that is created as a
backup. To be safe, do a backup of the environment as well. That way
your latest integrator changes will also be available as iSeries database
files.
The synchronization procedure eliminates the need for an export, prime,
import sequence when going from 7.6 to 7.7. The synchronization creates
business objects for newly installed client applications while retaining
existing integrator modifications that have already been done in R7
Power-Link. The following would be the steps needed when using the
integrator synchronization procedure.
The attached (see note below how to create) MyTraceOptions.xml must be
present in the my directory to enable the integrator Synchronize Business
Objects function.
a) Bring the environment to PTF level 4438 or higher.
b) Apply the latest SH14855.
c) Create the following my directory on the iSeries.
CRTDIR '/MAPICS/AMALIBx/Web/PowerLink/properties/my'
d) Place the attachment in /MAPICS/AMALIBx/Web/PowerLink/properties/my to
activate the integrator Synchronize function.
e) Change the ownership of the my directory. (Replace the AMALIBx with
the environment AMA library.)
QSH CMD('chown -R AMAPICS
/MAPICS/AMALIBx/Web/PowerLink/properties/my')
f) Start the MPX* jobs and the environment.
g) Check that Java Web Start logging is turned on.
h) Go into Power-Link.
i) Take the Synchronize Business Objects option on the Business Objects
File menu.
The synchronization will run for 45 minutes to 1 hour. If Power-Link does
not show a successful completion message and the Java Web Start log shows
an out of memory error, continue with the following additional steps.
j) Exit from Power-Link.
k) Start a new Power-Link session.
l) In Power-Link, do a Save to Host.
m) Exit from Power-Link.
n) In Link Manager, stop the environment.
o) Set the status on the following startup task (in AMFSQLy/START00001) to
‘X’.
470 Integrator database maintenance work item 20061113
p) In Link Manager, start the environment.
q) Wait for the TSK process to run and complete the synchronization
Note Paste the following into notepad and save as
MyTraceOptions.xml. Then copy to the iSeries as instructed above.
<?xml version="1.0" ?>
<Configuration>
<Property name='com.pjx.rto.option.intr.TracePrime'>
<Default>
20
</Default>
</Property>
</Configuration>

Re: [MAPICS-L] Integrator Tab in Test Environment
Without seeing your environment, I can only speculate. My first thought
is that your preferences have been changed to display a different initial
card file for the main browser. Check the drop down list right under your
file menu and see if there is another card file that has what you are
missing.
I've also seen customizations vanish into the infor ether. In this case,
you may be on the correct initial card file, but for some reason your
customizations are not there. You can always delete the appropriate
directory under C:\MAPICS\ and let the environment re-build the local
files in case this is a synchronization problem (I assume you've logged
out and back in which is my preferred method to try to force modifications
to appear). Legal disclaimer: I'm not liable for any losses you incur
while trying to follow my pea brained advice.
Finally, if the changes you are looking for do not appear to be available
anywhere on the server, you can modify the card file again to make them
appear. I'm assuming you know how to do that since you are looking for
mods you already did.
Hope this helps.
Josh

Subject: [MAPICS-L] Integrator Tab in Test Environment
We are at release 7 of XA and have Integrator installed. When I start a
Power Link session for the test environment, there are two tabs that are
missing. One if for Integrator and the other is for our user code.
Does anyone have any idea why these are not showing up and how I can get
them to?
David
