I will look them up.

The details behind our problem is. When we send and receive test orders, we
do not need them to clutter our production system files.

Our EDI test group, IT and customer order departments all agree that the
testing of edi should be totally separate from production environment. That
means no shipments, invoices, orders etc.. should ever cross the production
environement to test an edi process.

Over the years - when setting up a test - we establish the header / segments
in trusted link in an organization called MapicsTest, which via setup rules
is associated with environment XZ (Production = X6) . When an order is sent
to us or sent from us, everything processes through MapicsTest to/from the
test (XZ) environment. This enabled us to keep the test orders in the test
system. But is also caused much more work.

When testing is complete, there is no way that we know of to copy the
header/segments just created in trusted link from MapicsTest organization to
our production organization, so we have to manually remap it all. (extremely
time consuming and prone to errors).

There is a Test Indicator field in the Trading Partner Relationship menu

Is this what you are looking for?

[MAPICS-L] EDI Question

From the non-edi-guru.

Using COM>EC> Trusted link. Has anyone figured out how to test EDI
transactions using above 3 application modules without having to recreate
the mapping from a test organization to a live organization? (we are using
trusted link iseries version).

Any help would be great

Retrieval Date

Hi list and happy new year to all!

This environment is on release 6, PTF 8462 and I am using the browser.

When trying to print an indented cost sheet from host print - the
retrieval date going back in time does not appear to be working. If I go

back one year the data is the same. We use this to monitor BOM changes,
analysis.

Any clues what is going on?

TIA,

Hello everyone,

I thought long ago that MAPICS had a report that reported if there were
differences between the ITEMBL and SLQNTY files.

I might be wrong, but I can not find it.

Is there such a report? I can not find one in any of the MAPICS manuals.

I have some items that show a differenct Qty O/H in the ITEMBL file
compared to the SLQNTY file.

We are at XAR6.

Thanx,

Nick
