I've had some incidents closed before I was satisfied also, lately.
However, I was able to reopen the call (I use the web 99.99999% of the
time, I love e:Info!), and get the additional response needed. But I have
noticed a difference occasionally. That being said, I should also say
that I was very pleased that they kept as many top notch people as they
did. I can't really complain at all. Although that response does sort of
shock me. QUITE out of the norm! But, they do have new systems now, and
perhaps they are monitored on the apps serviced vs. the ALFs paid by
company. I could see that - I have something along those lines for our
dealer warranty system..... The person might be between the proverbial
rock-and-a-hard-place.

That's where a good affiliate can help! And this thread usually. Except
MPA isn't exactly a widely used app. I had it here and uninstalled it,
felt it wasn't worth the ALF, to be honest.

We use MPA. It's a very good tool to measure your production environment.
Infor/Mapics has not given us a better tool yet and they don't pay much attention to the users.
Forget EIS if anyone suggests it. #1 it does not work and no one at Infor knows why #2 if it did there are few meaningful measurements. Very disappointed

I am curious how others measure your production plan vs. actual, past due orders, BOM accuracy etc.

Hello Group,

Every day after running MRP we release manufacturing orders manually.
Work
sequence is as follows. We request a exception report. Check item by
item
for required material. Next step is review and aprove item by item. We
only
want to release orders if the required material is available. You can
imagine that this is very time consuming. Maybe we should try MRP menu
"Check item Availability Prior to Release".

We use Mapics XA release 6, with browser. We have a controlled
warehouse.

Solution:
Looking at field "Manufacture auto release code", you can set this on
position 1. Setting "1=Auto release M.O. if all components are
available".
My expectation is that orders will be automaticaly released when all
needed
components are there, but it doesn't seem to work.

Any suggestions?? You cannot find the above descibed functionality in
the
manual (at least I didn't).
