Peter,
How about establishing just one time zone for the environment.
The military does this using Zulu time (GMT). No matter what local
time is you are all on the same clock.

Subject: Re: [MAPICS-L] Different time zones in the same environment
What I am trying to have is basic recommendations of things to look into
like: (1) special MAPICS modifications needed, (2) iSeries setup, (3)
unknown features that will help me here, (4) separate jobs (per site)
and scheduled in the appropriate time, (5) etc. ... but I will try to
answer your questions the best I can:
"OK again, understand multi locations.....1 environment for all, ....or
EPDM with sites."
EPDM with sites, all within the same environment.
"Ny & FL same time zone, PR the same 6 months a year, where in Canada 5
time zones +1 or -4 EST and Mexico -2 or 3 EST."
Different time zones, as you have established.
"24 7 ops or 1 shift all, multi shifts various plants??"
24/7 operations in all locations.
