Gene,

We do that, but how I handled it was to write a separate report for
non-inventory items. We only have one planner that handles them, so that
works for us. If you have more than that, perhaps have the separate report
of non-inventory requistions break out by item class or something? You
can do that.....

BTW - we use Query/400 for those types of reports. Quick and easy.
