The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

Release 6 has more information cached on the local workstation to reduce
the amount of data that must be downloaded to the client. Some of those
caches were not implemented or need to be updated in R7. We are
currently working on this. Fixing these caches in R7 will also improve
overall performance in a WAN.

Subject: [MAPICS-L] Version 7 Powerlink
We are getting ready to launch Version 7, but there is one thing that is
scaring me. In version 6 browser it takes 2 second to get a sign on
screen and ten seconds for the app to load. With version 7 powerlink it
takes 25 seconds to get to the sign on screen and over a minute (69
seconds) to load app the first time and 25 seconds after opening and
closing it. My users are going to remember how it was before we got our
520i, when we were using a 170 box! They are going to be fit to be
tied! Anyone else see this and is there a way to fine tune this
behavior out of existence?
Thanks,
Lloyd H. Degnon
