You would add an edit to the Purchase Order Item business object in Integrator. When you create your edit include the Unit Price attribute. In the edit you can specify a message file where the error message lives. Note the edit ID. It will look like U#XXXX where XXXX is some number.

Once you have created the edit, generate the N0R user exit (UMUPTN0RA) and then edit it. Find the edit id from above and add your logic.

Hope this helps.

Subject: [MAPICS-L] Integrator (V7) question.

Please let me know the easiest way to check during a PO item entry that
the unit price is within ~ 2% of the purchase price from the Item Revision
file.

If the entered unit price is "out of range" from the purchase price (IR)
then the PO item entry is halted and a ERROR is issued showing the
purchase price (IR) and a required change to the unit price is required
before the PO item entry is accepted.

Thanks,

Terry Huddleston
