We found out about this long ago, and we actually have some audit the
daily results. She has gotten very good at this and now knows just what
to look for. One of the most common problems that I know of is when
there is a price change on a line item that needs to be maintained. The
only way for this to work right is to delete the line and recreate it.
If this is not done, who knows what you will get for a value...

We have exactly the same problem, have had ever since I've worked here
(3 years).
We have a process that highlights any errors on MTHACTE, these are then
reviewed and fixed manually (if possible).

The most common error we have is when the +/- transactions generated in
order maintenance do not cancel each other out correctly...but that is
not the only type of error.

In the past I have been able to replicate some errors and Mapics have
fixed those, but clearly some unresolved problems remain that I've been
unable to replicate.

Sorry I can't be any help as to the cause of the errors, but you're
certainly not the only person to have these problems.
