WE will be using some PHP and CGI using BCDs WebSmart product.
It's am Import PO tracking system that will access Mapics for Std. Costs
and updating on hand balances.

I've been using .PHP and an OBDC driver to fetch data from MAPICS files.
I'm only reading, so there isn't any harm done to the underlying
database.
