Here is the solution: Fields in SLDATA file - Location Status, Location
Type, Subdivision Indicators
The stock location file, SLDATA, includes the following fields:
LCOD1, Location Status:
E = empty. F = full (at least one SLQNTY record for this location)
LCOD2, Location Type:
M = material stocking location, B = Bulk Store, Q = QC location
S = subdivision location
INDC1 through INDC5, Subdivision Indicators
E = this subdivision is empty F = subdivision full (SLQNTY record
exists)
PRODL, REP production line location
1 = line location, ' ' = stocking location
 With version 6, The only values are M = Main location, S =
Sub-location.

When I query SLDATA, my QC location, Qc01 is, in fact Location Type 'Q'

Subject: [MAPICS-L] QC Locations

Hello all,

I have a question, or clarification, on QC Locations.

We are at XAR6.

What defines a 'QC' Location?

Is it:
1) the Location Type Code (LCOD2) in the SLDATA record = 'Q'
2) or all Locations that begin with a 'Q'

TIA,

Nick
