We are located in Boise ID, we would love to have a user group
in the west. Also, we have been up on R7 for 9 months now, and it will be a
year
May 1 2007. I can tell you that R7 is a big improvement over R6.
I did the migration myself, with very little outside resouceres, besides
Infor Support.
We were on R6 for at least 2 years before we decide to go with R7.
Why R7? Mainly the ability to customize the browser (R7 - Powerlink) views
and subset, without
a programmer. If you would like to discuss this further, you may call me
or contact me off line.

Here's another vote in favor of a west coast user's group.

Having a users group would be great... I also did a migration from R5 to
R7 and I can tell you how that went as well. :-)

Subject: [MAPICS-L] Users of Version 6 or 7

I have new Executive Staff on Board and have been asked for 10 Version 7
references and 10 Version 6 references. We are currently using 6 and
have a 7 test environment. We are planning on Training on Version 7 and
rolling out in a few months. There is a perception that we should not
go forward with 7 and pursue something else. I have a gut feeling that
it is because of infamiliararity with INFOR/MAPICS.

If there are any of you out there that would be willing to share, I
would appreciate it. Also, are there any users on the West Coast that
would be interested in setting up a users group?

Thanks,
