Net-Link is a possible solution but, more money and in the back of my
mind I kind of remember that Net-Link had some limitations. I can't
recall them off the top of my head.

With that setup it sounds like Net-Link would be better.

Our remote locations that don't have a frame connection to our host site
use the internet to connect to the terminal server via a URL from their
internet browser.

Our applications (including MAPICS browser) are loaded on this server
pool (we have two terminal servers) and actually execute locally on our
internal network and then just sent out the screen images to the remote
user.

The remote user doesn't need to have the applications installed on their
PC because they are actually running them on the server.

Response time is pretty good because only minimal amounts of data are
being transmitted through the internet.

Why are you running browser on terminal server? Is the response time
better?

It's not a problem to run it on terminal server.
It only needs a lot more memory (More then double) per user (Java)
than
the browser on release 6.
It also loads the java applet per user, which means it cost more disk
space per connected user.
But if that is not an issue on you're server you're good to go.

Just curious if anyone has been able to run XAR7 PowerLink on a
terminal
server. We are beginning the process of upgrading to XAR7 from XAR6
and
have been running the XAR6 Browser on a terminal server for several
years but have been unable to get the XAR7 PowerLink to run on the
terminal server.
