To prevent ANY problems, why don't you just start with check # 55001?

We are switching banks and will have new checks starting with check
number one.

We have thousands of check numbers in our history files in the range 1
thru 50000.

Does anyone know what types of problems will happen when we attempt to
create a check with a number that was used before?
