The user profile that typically runs the QSTRUP job after IPL is..... QPGMR! And if QPGMR has no authority to what is in AMALIBx or AMFLIBx, embedding some code inside of the QSTRUP program to start certain U-JOB's will not work. The approach we took to get around affecting how QSTRUPJD is defined inside of the QCTL subsystem OR object and library authority involved using IBM's Advanced Job Scheduler (AJS) (5722-JS1). We built a group job with dependencies inside of AJS. First job uses AMAPICS to run a program that holds the U-JOBs, next job runs and executes the IPL, the third and final job in the group uses AMAPICS to run a program that releases the U-JOBs. It works beautifully when using the automation. We only have to restart U-JOB's manually if we are restarting the machine without the automation. -----Original Message----- From: mapics-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:mapics-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Olga Gunther (Corp) Sent: Wednesday, August 02, 2006 1:22 PM To: MAPICS ERP System Discussion Subject: Re: [MAPICS-L] Re-starting u-jobs after system IPL Thanks...got it.
