We have used item type 9 for a couple of years and it works well for us.
Mapics assumes the cost is the purchased information unless a
manufacturing order is created.
No problems at all.

Hi Group,

Has anyone used Item Type '9' which I undertand is both manufactured and
purchased (Item Type 1 and Item Type 4) combined.
If you are using this or have used this is there any problems with it?
We have some items we are planning to change to Item Type 9 in the
beginning of July.
