Trudie,I do use the Pre and Post backup commands. The subtle issue I have with the "pre" backup command is that it runs prior to achieving a dedicated mode. I needed the source for the Copy Disk Backup-to-Tape since I created a post-backup command to save some custom libraries using the same method that the scheduled backup was done. If the backup was to disk, the custom program creates save files in the AMSLIB_ and saves the libraries to those save files.
When the user saves the Disk copies to tape, I want to have the program save all the custom libraries as well.
