We have many customers using both with great success.  And then there are cases 
where
performace problems occur.  This generally happens because end-users know what 
kinds of
questions they want to ask from a business standpoint, but they don't know how 
to ask it
in the most efficient way.

If you should decide to let end-users (or IT) start writing reports with ASC or 
NGS and
things don't perform well....then its time for tools like...ours :)

We are reviewing some query & reporting tools to augment Infor/XA's
reporting capabilities. Two such solutions that are under consideration
are ASC/SEQUEL and NGS/IQ. We intend to use these tools to create and
publish various reports and to create an executive dashboard metric
reporting system. I would like to hear from any of you that have
experience with these or other similar solutions.

 

If you have a third party query reporting system now; which alternatives
did you consider?

What were the strengths and weaknesses of each of them?

What did you ultimately purchase? 

How well does the tool work over the XA relational database?

Any surprises (good or bad)?

Other input?
