Try looking at the Intermec CV 60 terminal mount device.  It may solve some
of your issues.  You can view this terminal at the following link, but it
may be too pricy for your needs.

Does anyone have installed 17" (or larger) thin client touch screens in a
machine shop (rugged and dirty) environment for use with data collection?
We purchased the DT version of the YES tablets, but when in the cradle, they
seem to overheat and fail.  So, we want to look at a thin client set up and
use larger screens to eventually replace all the tablets.
