Hi John, I'm still waiting for the test 850's to come in so the project is somewhat on hold. In reviewing your e-mail below you mention 'issue the command to process the offline files'. Is there a command to load offline files or are you referring to the interactive screens like Option 2 on the COM menu? I would be very interested on a way to enter offline files thru a command. We have them FTP the files into a specific library. Then we've written programs to extract the data. We insist on one and only one header record per file, with specific field positions and at least one detail record, each representing a different line item. Then our programs extract the data and load the Mapics offline files. Of course, we do error checking first to be sure they are sending valid item numbers, etc. Then we issue the command to process the offline files. The inbound files are on a website and I have to use FTP to download these files into MAPICS. My plan is to reveive 850's and send 810's. Can this be done? What options do I have? I know very little about EDI and I can't understand how I can receive these files and rename them on the 400 so I can extract the data I need to use offline load in COM. Any comments will be appreciated.
