Hi All:

Thanks for all your replies and followup replies (see
my individual comments below).

As things now stand, I'm planning on running the PDM
Full Costing early on this Friday evening when
everyone is off the system.

When our IT person comes back on Monday, I will ask
him about what job might be creating the problem
during the week at 3:45 am.

I'll report back, under this subject thread, when I
learn more.

Regards,
Al Gershen

Hi Dave Shaw:

Yes, you're correct...this is an AS/400 problem.

I sent a copy of the JobLog to Mapics Support and was
told that some Job resulted in the Subsystem being
ended immediately.

I haven't been able to identify the job that did this
yet and our IT person will return to work on this
coming Monday...and I'll let him handle this matter.

Hi Pete Olshavsky and Trudie Cook:

I've never hear anyone around here mention a Mapics
REORG. If I run a PDM Costed on selected items, there
is no problem...only when it's scheduled during the
night and 3:45 am comes into play.

Hi Josue Garcia:

As mentioned above, I send a copy of the JobLog to
Mapics Support. Thanks for your offer.

Hi Pete Olshavsky:

Yes, I was looking at the JobLog in the Queue that you
mentioned. As mentioned above, a copy of the log was
sent to Mapics support.

Hi Josue Garcia:

No I'm unable to run the PDM Full Costing during the
day because of too many conflicts with the Engineering
Department who are continually updating and creating
new PDM files.
