Yes we have over 200 jobs automated including the month end close. We use it
to process invoices, updates batches and a hundred other things. It helped
us reduce our operations personnel. The class they give is well worth it.
It gave us insight to the other uses for it.

Subject: ROBOT scheduler

For those of you who own ROBOT scheduler and ROBOT replay - would you buy it
again?

We would like to schedule month end jobs - a big custom CL, FIFO Reports,
and IM and COM period closes - instead of submitting them interactively at
midnight. It appears that ROBOT is just the ticket for this, but it might be
a hard sell to management at over $10,000. For the 8 or 9 times a year that
month end falls on a weekday, management might just say "set your alarm
clock", unless I can find other uses of ROBOT besides month end.

We already have MRP scheduled through the job scheduler, so that is already
covered. After some work, we just got the printing of the IM transaction
register (PRTIMTXR) working as a JOBSCDE, so that is covered too. I would
like to automate the On-Order Quantity Audit, Allocation Quantity Audit and
COM transaction register though. What other types of jobs do you schedule
with ROBOT?

Thanks in advance for any replies.
