Did you convert to EPDM in your test environment? If not, the EPDM programs
might not find the objects that it is expecting. CPF 4101 usually means one of
several things: object not found/library list error, object not found/security
access denied, object not found/object not created., etc.

Subject: EPDM - Error Msg when creating BOM

We're using MAPICS 6.0 and working with EPDM in our practice environment. We
haven't installed it in our live system.

When creating BOMs while in EPDM, transactions remain pending after they've
been submitted and we receive the following error msg "Error message CPF4104
appeared during OPEN (C S D F)." We reply to the msg by canceling. Afterwards,
the BOM creation errors out and never completes.

Does anyone know what this message means and why we can't create BOMs while in
EPDM?

I should mention there is no problem with creating routings and the items do
show in PDM (if that matters). Also, we can create a BOM if we do it while in
PDM.

TIA,
