If they will send you, go. It's definitely worth it. I skipped the conference one time when times were pretty bad at our company. I seriously regretted it - you miss out on a lot of stuff. I always get a bunch of ideas on new ways to do stuff at the customer-given sessions. The Expo has always been good, too - another major advantage for attending (for me, at least) is talking to the vendors that sell MAPICS add-ons. I find out about stuff that I didn't even know existed. Some are inexpensive, some are "you want HOW much for that?!?!?", but they are all worth listening to. I also usually learn a lot at the hospitality suite sessions, especially ISE's, where you can talk to a bunch of customers about what they've done with Paperless (or whatever the Politically Correct term is this year). Even if you don't use it, you get neat ideas...... Plus, it's ALWAYS worth listening to Phil Joseph talking about what's new in Browser. If they could bottle him (or his excitement) for sale, they'd be zillionaires. Some years the "special event" is ho-hum, but you're there anyway..... Please respond to MAPICS ERP System Discussion <mapics-l@midrang e.com> I see Mapics extended the early bird reg till Friday. I have requested to attend and was wondering how others felt. I think it'll be a great opportunity to see where things are going, perhaps more in depth than any press brief or web snippet. The Session brief is over 20 pages - but I know some of it is Syteline. I have a lot of interest in the Visual Apps by Lily (Visual DRB) - acquired by Infor Global as well. _______________________________________________ This is the MAPICS ERP System Discussion (MAPICS-L) mailing list To post a message email: MAPICS-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/mapics-l or email: MAPICS-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/mapics-l.
