Al,
Make sure that you are looking at the cost roll error reports. This tells
you the status of the roll up. There are also codes in the item master file
that tell you the status of each level in the BoM.

Subject: Full PDM Costing: How many records are recosted?

Environment: Mapics DB (Mod 4)

Hi group:

When I run a full costing usually twice or more a
month, the last page of the AMEI30 report shows the
number of records recosted. (Our Current Standard
Costs are recosted every Friday afternoon.)

Sometimes this numberd are very large; at other times
the numbers are small.

Here are some of the results from the Full PDM
Costings done in January and February:

Friday, Feb 25, 2005: Current items recosted, 13,028;
Standard items recosted, 2,254

Thursday, Feb 17, 2005; Current items recosted, 93;
Standard items recosted, 534

Thursday, Feb 10, 2005; Current items recosted, 95;
Standard items recosted, 6,258

Friday, Jan 28, 2005; Current items recosted, 66;
Standard items recosted, 7,685

What determines the number of Current and Standard
items recosted? Why do the numbers vary so much?

I look forward to your comments.
