Jeff,
For our purposes, the Customer Service Reps did not want to see the detail.
They only needed the promise date for the customer. I added a trigger
program to the MBADREP file which internally calls the Mapics AMBXBXFR
program to calculate the promise date. It then simply updates the promise
and manufacturing due dates prior to record creation. If the promise date
can not be calculated I plug the dates with 42 days from the current date.

If the rep wants to, they can then change the promise date but the original
promise date is always the one calculated by the system.

I haven't looked at whether Release 7 has ATP or not.

And / Or has anyone developed an integrator solution for ATP at rel 6.0
