Lloyd,

When you open an edit card with Browser (i.e. Item Maintenance) You can cut
data from any windows app and paste it into one of the opened edit fields.

W2000 handles double byte characters different and leaves extra blanks that
are not needed, and then have to be manually removed after the paste
operation.

Subject: Excel to MAPICS???

Got the Notice from MAPICS that the new SH13931 was available for Browser
ver.6.00

Am I missing something, or is this just a typo...

74636 In Browser, data copied from excel to MAPICS Browser contains
additional 'bad' characters.
Investigation revealed that support was added to the cut and paste
functionality to support double
byte character strings which presented an issue when the blanks were not
removed from the
string prior to pasting. This only occurs on W2000 machines. The client
has been changed to
remove trailing blanks from the string
