I did not have to deal with that aspect. My upgrade to V5R3 was when we upgraded to a new AS/400, getting all of the MAPICS and user profiles and such working. Please take note that the IBM Client for V5R3 does not work with Windows '98 or lower!!! We still have several older P.C.'s with '98, and are having to use an old copy of V5R1 client that we had laying around. Also the new client has a bug that I found that has not been resolved, and I am waiting for them to send me test software. After about 2 months of trial and error, I discovered that a problem that I was experiencing in the client, even just viewing print jobs turned out to be because I had TCP/IP and TCP/IP ver 6 on some of my newer P.C.'s. Removing ver 6 solved the problem. Seems ironic in that only recently has OS/400 supported TCP V6. Lloyd H. Degnon I.S.
