Hi to all who responded to this posting and others who may have read and learned: To Eric A. Wolf: I save all of my Query/400 spool files and some of the larger Mapics spool files. They are stored in Queues that are described with Fiscal Year Dates and Project Description (such as, Inventory, Cycle Counting, etc.). I've always figured that they are readily accessible in this format and would be subject to deletion the same way hard copies are destroyed after so many years. To Glenn Ericson: We don't have a microfiche copy machine at our shop. To Ann Neal: Yes, I'm aware that spool files are not backed up. Why this is...is beyond me? To Dave Shaw, Mapics ML Manager: Thanks for the CL command. It worked perfectly and gave me the amount of bytes used up by all my Queues. To Lisa Thomas: My screens only have Views 1 thru 3 with the F10 and F11 keys. I can only assume our version of the operating system is very old. To Gernot Langle: Your report is over my head but would probably be useful to other Mapics ML members. Thank you for its submission. Again, thanks to all of your for your valued assistance. Have a good week. Regards, Al Gershen --- Al Gershen <aldg3@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: > Hi Mapics ML: > > I save many spool files in Queues under Work With > All > Output Queues.
