The system reply list as Ali Ekinci said is a way to autoreply on a message regardless of the origin, and without any programming. If on the other hand you want to capture an error in a specific CL (and you have the source) you can just add a MONMSG statement just after the one which might cause the error (or add a MONMSG in the beginning to catch all). You can find a detailed explanation on the web in IBMs CL programmingreference manuals of the AS400.
