Mary, We have successfully used Seagull's JWalk to put a Java-based GUI front end on classic RPG screens. The user is actually running the RPG program, with the standard screen, but there is a Java client program running in the browser screen (IE browser, not MAPICS browser) that gives a "web" look and feel. Warning! It doesn't look like MAPICS Browser! As Eric Wolf said in an earlier response, using Integrator would probably be better - it would literally be MAPICS then. And if you are on R7 (which from what I have repeatedly been told, works great in green screen also), Enterprise Integrator does an incredible job. Phil Joseph did a presentation at last year's conference, and he knocked the socks off everyone in the room. How many sessions have the attendees break into applause when stuff is demo'ed? Incredibly powerful, allows for RPG code to be inserted to do extremely custom stuff - it even generates most of the code. Wow.
