Mark,

>From the list of files, I'm assuming your not using EPDM. You can use the
offline files and submit the updates as each file is completed successfully
(i.e. ITEM MASTER update, the PSTRUC then ROUTNG, then RTGDSC.)

I do not recommend updating the files directly. MAPICS updates a number of
statistical fields that are used my many of the other applications.

The offline files work well and can be easily called from your program.

Subject: Updating Master Files

Hello all,

I have a issue in which I need to update ITEMASA, ITEMASB, PSTRUC, ROUTNG,
and RTGDSC programatically. But I'd like to use the Mapics procedures to do
it because of the NOPWU fields and stuff like that that is maintained
within those procedures. I am currently using the OLM* commands to do this,
but the updates must all complete or none complete. i.e. I don't want the
PSTRUC job to be submitted if the ITEMAS* jobs don't complete normally.

Does this make sense?

Thanks,

Mark
