Hi Rudy,

Test, test, test. Create a test environment. Convert to EPDM. Verify
that all data converted successfully.

Train, train, train. Train your engineers in how to create and maintain the
BOMs, Routings, Operations, Item Revisions and most importantly the Item
Processes.

Don't allow "design" engineering into the EPDM process. They speak a
different language and MAPICS EPDM is a "as built" or "manufacturing"
system.

Make certain that the entire company understands how to use the new features
correctly.

1. Production Sites vs. Engineering Sites
2. Item Processes
3. Operations (not routings)
4. Item Revisions. Remember that EPDM is the ONLY module that understands
the revision field. (i.e. you can't inventory by revision)
5. Templates. Use them, it will save you a significant amount of time.
6. Understand the "release to PDM" function.
7. Understand how location control changes.

Just a few quick thoughts.

Good Luck.
