Shawn, I have some clients who have just completed a review of other ERP systems as well. What they found was that MAPICS will meet 98% of their business requirements without a major outlay of capital. They took a good thourough look at what it would take to get what they thought would be a more fully functional ERP solution and found that the man hour effort and capital outlay would be more destructive to the business than taking a step back and really learning how to utilize the tools they currently have and possibly investing in some new tools (or modules). This is a normal course for a business. Typically, what I have observed is that MAPICS will meet your business requirements. You may need to upgrade to the next version of MAPICS, but you would get a substantial "bang for the buck" as compared to totally converting to another solution. Thanks for you time.. We created a Pluses and Minuses list for MAPICS and have recently gone over this with our MAPICS consultants. In the meeting is seemed that the response to our issues was that the new "client architecture" will address this. I'm assuming this is the "browser" version. Is anybody running this? What sort of issues have you seen? Would you recommend this? Thanks for any feedback.
