Re: Rel.7 Upgrade

Be careful. Ask yourself if you are upgrading for the sake of upgrading to be 
release 7, or to gain a quantifiable competitive edge?

Is your organization going to benefit from the upgrade in a real monetary, 
service or speed way?

Have you visited any site which has release 7?

IBM & MARCAM always gave my firms a list of the last 10 installs from MAPICS 
II .. to DB .. to XA .. etc. Is MAPICS willing to provide you with such a list 
so you could chose a few sites to ask to visit with a firm that is similar to 
yours in operations?

Whether my sites worked as marketed, designed and sold, .. or not .. , I am 
always willing to let a potential user or upgrader to see the operation with 
management's' permission and let them decide the financials of an upgrade at 
that time.
