MAPICS can be "fooled" into thinking that MMA is installed via tailoring questionnaire. When this is done, the MTHACT files are populated. We use this information to generate reports on booking changes daily via IWP reports, but obviously could use anything to report on the changes... How about the MTHACTE file? This records a number of fields every time an order is changed. It is (was) used by MMA to adjust dimensions for order changes. Not sure if this is always built or only if MMA installed. Can get lots of records but may be a simple solution if it has the fields you need to track. Dear Meyno To track customer (COM) order changes this is what I would do.... Use the End Customer Order exit to write all or your required order data to a history file, this takes place when an order is entered and subsequently updated. For example if you require to keep a track of the price, quantity and customer due date of the order item lines you write those fields to a record and write the record along with the order number, order type, company and order item seq number to the history file. You then have a copy of the order when it is added and maintained, your chosen program can then process the history file to do whatever you need to do with the before image. Quite straightforward no need to cause headaches with triggers! Best regards Rob Cull Independent (hands on) MAPICS / AS400 / RPG Consultant in the UK.
