To get away from the costing problems of an IT "9", IT type 1,2, or Phanthom will correct the cost issues at Standard. If you run short on production capability and have to purchase outside, IM & MRP will be mathematically OK if you cut a purchase order for a manufactured part. Accounting variances need to be addressed internally if you do this. Also, any of your IT "9" have to be causing planning problems if you have MRP, as that an IT "9" does not blow thru the components of an IT "9" for MRP.
