thanks -----Original Message----- From: Pete Olshavsky [mailto:polshavsky@xxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, December 09, 2003 2:37 PM To: MAPICS ERP System Discussion Subject: RE: Mapics Data Dictionary There is an option on the CAS reports menu. (file record layout) If you just select the Application it will print all the files including work files that pertain to that app. I have not done this for a very long time. Use to generate a large report... Cmd 22 will give you selected files. I use this one all the time.. Only problem is when doing the COM logicals. It does not give you the field names used in the logical.. Gives you the physical file field name. But perhaps you could download the spool file to a database file. or even to excel and work some kind of magic to pull out info you need. Hope this helps Pete Olshavsky Ind Mapics Programmer/Systems Analyst "Thomas, Lisa (Hayssen)" <lisa.thomas@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: I use the Business Object information from Integrator. I have read of a few users who have built their own data dictionaries and am wondering if anyone has one they would be willing to share with the community. Id like to collect a few of these in order to compile a more complete document that we could share among the users.
