We also have a problem with licenses being consumed and not used. We have the system value QINACTIV set for 45 minutes and QDSCJOBITV set for 45 minutes. We then have a job that runs through out the day every 30 minutes that invokes the MAPICS license release program AMZCPU6R for each environment. That takes care of interactive sessions. The QZDASOINIT jobs we take care of right before we start the backup. We have a job that uses the API QWCLOBJL to look for QZDASOINIT jobs that have a lock on SYSCTL and AMFLIBx and then ends them. Have no current solution on something that runs during the day. I don't think it would be too difficult for your programmers to figure something out. 1) Use the QWCLOBJL API to get the list of QZDASOINIT jobs with locks on SYSCTL 2) Use the QMHLJOBL or QGYOLJBL API to process the job log for the time the last message was sent If the last message was sent later than the "timeout" you define, end the job. 3) Invoke the MAPICS license release program AMZCPU6R Vince wrote: >Has anyone figured out how to end browser sessions that have been inactive >for a stated period of time.
