Subject: Ideas: Costing a portion of the material

I have a child that requires 1.5 feet and is 6" wide.

The material of this child is bought in feet but is 36" wide. Let's say
$2/ft)

If I roll cost I will get 1.5 * $2 = $3, but this is the wrong cost. The
actual cost is 1/6 of $3. (.50 cents)

How can MAPICS handle this costing.?

Allocation of material is also a problem.?

Any ideas?
