Al, Mapics does now have a PCC transaction history for all Job-off transactions. One file is for open orders and one for closed/purged orders. They contain information such as MO, EMPNO, elapsed time, qty reported good & scrap, run codes, etc. I don't believe that DB has this feature unless it was recently retro-fitted (but I seriously doubt that). We are a PLM&C user and we use the PLM&C shop activity history instead of Mapics because PLM&C contains efficiency stats in it also. Is there a temporary work file in Mapics that has the details of the postings to these fields while the MO is in PC&C? (If such a file exists, I would assume it would be purged once the MO left PC&C for IM History.) Is it possible that this information is not available in Mapics DB but is available in later versions of Mapics? If the information is not available in normal Mapics, do you, in your shop, track information of this type outside of Mapics using either a third-party program or an in-house program? I look forward to your comments.
