You can open a PO to a vendor and add no line items. This is better than
a sticky note and doesn't take any longer. Then update later with details.
You will get a nagging error 'EAM7580 No items found for this order'.

How do you plan to handle people that need a PO number on the fly to get
something ordered right away?
(I'm especially interested, because I'm one of them!)

Just curious.... they use the 'sticky note method' here, and many times
po's are given out twice!

Thanks....

PO # Assignment

Has anyone devised a way to prevent buyers from entering a PO number when
it
is a new PO? We would like all PO#'s to be system assigned.

The Mapics Help Desk suggested re-training the buyers but we want
something more effective.

Thanks,
