Avron, You can eliminate duplicate records in two steps

Step 1 - Run a query that summarizes all fields in original file and includes
the Count of the summarized records. Output the summary records to a summary
file.

Step 2 - Run your report against the summary file. When you do this be sure to
divide the summarized amounts by the Count so you don't double-up the amounts.

Subject: Query/400: Selecting Records based on Record No?

>
> Hi group:

I don't believe this can be done but I'll run it by you
for verification:

If I have a DB file with ten records in it and five of the
records are duplicated, using Query/400 can I output five
of the records to a report? I don't want the duplicated
records in the report.

I don't see this in the IBM Query/400 Use (Version 3)
manual. Did I miss something?

I look forward to your comments.
