This works for me :

1.   Spool file  must be defined or overridden as Printer device type  . . . . .
. . . . : *AFPDS
2.   The  printer  device desc.  must be described  with Host print transform .
. . . . . . : *YES
3.   A  WSCST  must  be used that  has  a RASTERMODE defined within it:

RASTERMODE

SCS=NO

AFP=YES.

The  WSCST  is assigned in the printer  devd.
