John,

This is very good news indeed; however the enhancement informational has
only PDM listed - I hope when it is finally written, it is for both EPDM and
PDM!

As someone else said, 99% of the time we always run the cost roll with the
same parameters - it would be nice to set it once and forget about it, like
the MAPICS backup enhancement last year. (Thank you!) I can still run a
one-time backup as needed without worrying about resetting the nightly
MAPICS backup.

Thanks also to everyone else who answered my inquiry - I am considering our
options. Purchasing ROBOT and/or another enhancement is out of the question
at the moment; and we run "lights out" from 4:30 pm to 7:30 am (sys operator
- what is that!?!). Ron Hankey (who responded off-list), I need to work
through the code you sent me - thanks. So far, holding the job queue, having
our cost accountant schedule the roll, then changing the job to run on
Sunday morning at 2:00 am is working, but the cost accountant and I both
have to remember to go through the routine... (We normally work 5 1/2 x 24,
so Saturday evening and/or Sunday morning is when system work and off-time
tasks get scheduled.)

Joan,

please look at the enhancement informational, SH14371. It is number 4 on
the list of enhancement to be done.

Thanks,
John Navarre

Subject: Schedule full cost roll

To all -

I've just been out at the e-Info site and asked about scheduling a full cost
roll. The response was that the user would have to custom write a program to
do this.

Anyone got a program they have written to submit the EPDM full cost
(standard and current) to job scheduler? Anyone know what the parameters
are? And anyone know why this is not on the MAPICS enhancement list? (a-hem,
MAPICS lurkers!)

          Thanks - Joan
