Thanks, Peter. -----Original Message----- From: Peter Vidal [mailto:Peter_Vidal@xxxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, April 23, 2003 7:49 AM To: MAPICS ERP System Discussion Subject: RE: Unit of Measure Conversion Not that I know of. Are you referring to a case of , for example, we buy product "A" by pallet (let's say 10 rolls), and stock it in rolls but the floor uses it by meter? Well, I have just two years in the company and so far, what I think they try to do is use the material in the same way it is stocked. Is practical, I guess. If, for example, they use a roll (or some kind of "similar" situations) and there is some remaining quantity, they have like "small warehouses" where the material is located in the floor; however, they try to have this area as clean as possible... so we could say, in this example, if production calls for 1 roll in, 1 roll is used and then they request another one and so forth. (Again, this is an example). I do not know if this answers your question but I can also tell you that I checked all my IMHIST records for usage transactions and there is no case like that.
