You can use AS/400 SQL most easily to accomplish what you need. If you are licensed for the IBM SQL Product (don't remember the exact name or product number, something like SQL Query Manager/400), you can use the STRSQL command and enter your specific command. If not, then you can place your statement in a source member and run the RUNSQLSTM command (comes in the operating system). Also, I have a little utility I wrote that lets me run SQL commands interactively even if not license for the SQL product.
