I think we should follow IBM and call it CUMe, that way the email won't get held up by the SPAM blocking software. It also enables you to perform better Internet searches on the issue. Thanks. (and anyone usingthe latest CUM?) I read the press release and the Forrester report. I found the Forrester report to be somewhat confusing - they said that MAPICS was the best, but mostly talked about Oracle, PeopleSoft, JDE, and SAP. I think it was poorly written. MAPICS wasn't even on some of the charts! The press release said there would be about 250 positions eliminated between the two companies (if I understood it correctly). I wonder who will get hit the worst? I also wonder what impact this will have on R7? I'm still waiting on this to be completed - we are in the process of preparing for the complete conversion from green screen to Browser (we're using a phased approach, replacing green screens with thin clients and PCs where either is best suited). Overall, we like Browser - EPDM especially has been terrific for us, and OBPM/MM is going over well, but it's going to take a while to get everyone trained and used to the new technology. And it keeps being delayed (waiting on CSM and Integrator, still). =============================== I also have the latest CUMe CD (SH14724, PTF 4140) - has anyone installed it yet? I'm quite stable at PTF 3196, not encountering any problems (that I have detected). =============================== Dale Gindlesperger Fleetwood Folding Trailers, Inc. _______________________________________________ This is the MAPICS ERP System Discussion (MAPICS-L) mailing list To post a message email: MAPICS-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/mapics-l or email: MAPICS-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/mapics-l.
