Does anyone have vendor managed uncontrolled floor stock? If so, what are
the parameters used to remove this from re-order consideration. We have
established the order policy code of B so if anything it would appear on a
reorder report rather than MRP. We set he order point to .000001, safety
stock to zero, and on hand quantity to 1. Supposedly, since the IX
transaction doesn't affect quantity this should never trip the order point.
What we are finding is that somethng in the system is re-calculating the
order point which then allows the the OP to be tripped, which then puts the
item on a re-order report, and so on, and so on, and so on. It would be
interesting to hear how others handle uncontrolled floorstock.

Thanks,

Jeff Anderson
